Avoiding Laziness "For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. Now them
that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread."
II Thes. 3:11-12
Disorderly = out of step or rank a soldier being an example. Not
working = idle hands. No desire to work but plenty of effort in sticking their nose in the affairs of others. Busybodies
= minding other's business.
What had Paul commanded regarding such people? "For even when we were
with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat." v- 10
The Bible consistently
condemns laziness (sluggard & slothful of Proverbs) and commends those who diligently labor. A lazy man once said
that work fascinated him - he could sit and look at it for hours!
May we be found working diligently to provide
for our families and then be found with the same diligence in serving the LORD.

A Word Fitly Spoken "A word fitly
spoken [is like] apples of gold in pictures of silver." Pro. 25:11
A timely word
is as beautiful and blessed as a silver basket full of golden apples. We must ponder the power of our words to either
bring help or to destroy others. You can probably recall a time when someone gave you a "fitly spoken word".
Be sure to convey your gratitude to the one who is like apples of gold in pictures of sliver in your life.

The Pity of the LORD "Like
as a father pitieth [his] children, [so] the LORD pitieth them that fear him." Psalm 103:12
Just how does a father pity his children? Consider the meaning of the word: "to love, love deeply,
have mercy, be compassionate, have tender affection." I am sure there are times our earthly father fails to
live up to the meaning of the word but not our heavenly Father. How much he does pity us in
time of need! Tony Thomas Pastor Grace Baptist Church

Sing and Rejoice"Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said
they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them." Psalm 125:2 I
suppose one could say that the unsaved will not get the idea of great things done for the people of God by our sadness and
sorrow. Someone once noted that some belivers look like they were baptized in pickle juice. I heard another preacher
refer to some of the sad saints looking like they swallowed a mule and left the mule's face sticking out. Well,
why not sing and rejoice because of the great things He has done for YOU!

One More Night With The Frogs "And
he said, Tomorrow. And he said, [Be it] according to thy word: that thou mayest know that [there is] none like unto the LORD
our God." Exodus 8:10 If you were the President of
a country and your land was full of frogs, frogs and more frogs and you knew someone had the power to remove them and told
you to chose the time , what would you say? Would you say, Tomorrow? Reminds me of a sermon entitled "One
More Night With The Frogs." Makes me wonder why so many put off salvation or saints put off serving the LORD with
all their heart. Anyway you look at it, one more night with the frogs isn't worth the delay!

Let Others "See Your Song""And he hath put a new song in my mouth, [even] praise unto our God: many shall
see [it], and fear, and shall trust in the LORD." Psalm 40:3 The song is one that
is both new and fresh because the Psalmist had experienced a great deliverance from the horrible pit of sin.
This new song can only be sung by those who know as well the joy of our wonderful Saviour. Make sure others see your song that they might trust in the one that you trusted!
