| August 1986 |
David & Lisa Cannon started church meeting in the Community room of the First Federal Savings & Loan on Main Street. Wed. Prayer Meetings were held at the pastor’s home. |
| July 1987 |
Bought current property at 5335 Jasmine Lane. Held first service 8-10-87. |

1988 |
First wedding in church – Roy Webb & Desiree Nieves. |
| 1989 |
Addition was built for Sunday School rooms & bathrooms. |
| 1993 |
Remodeled inside of chapel. |
| 2001 |
Started construction of Youth Building. |
| December 2002 |
Paid off current mortgage. Church debt free. |
| January 2003 |
David Cannon resigned as pastor to move to Palm Bay, FL. |

Tom Frazier became our new full time pastor |
During it’s years in Inverness, the church has conducted Summer Youth Camps, had S.S. bus ministry, an Awana program, church choirs with special cantatas, Vacation Bible Schools, Fall Festivals to replace Halloween, participated in the Christmas parades with floats and tracks and candy distribution, Ladies Fellowship and Patch the Pirate programs. We have had youth programs and currently have dedicated men meeting with community youth on Thursdays and Saturdays. There is also Ladies Council to aid in hospitality and service to the church.
